Friday 27th July 2007 Location: Middlewich, Cheshire Today: 7 miles, 2 lock. Total distance: 301 miles. Total locks: 260 Warm with sunny spells in the morning, clouding over in the afternoon. Moved on at around 08:30, heading for Middlewich. Slow going today due to queues at the two locks we came through. It took over an hour to get through the first lock. It looks like the season is picking up as there are now quite a few boats out and about, private and hire. Moored up around 13:00 at a lovely spot in the middle of the country side. Moored against Armco for a change And the boat is right in at the side of the bank. Going to fire up the BBQ tonight to use up some lovely rib eye steak that we bought back in Alrewas. If the rain does come on, I will put the parasol up to shelter it. Fingers crossed the rain holds off. Beautiful Cheshire countryside Previous page -|- Next page -|- Index page |
