I called ahead to Llanthony bridge (they are on VHF channel 74) to check to see if the water points in the docks have been repaired yet, they haven’t so I advised the bridge keeper not to raise the bridge on my approach as I would be stopping at the water point that is just below the south side of the bridge.
After topping up with water, I moved into the docks and was surprised to find it fairly empty with plenty of mooring spaces available.
The plan is to lock down onto the river Severn tomorrow morning and to head up to Tewksbury where we plan to join the river Avon.
