Friday 26th October 2007 Location: Kings Langley, Hertfordshire, Grand Union Today: 4 miles, 8 locks. Total distance: 848 miles. Total locks: 540 Cold grey day. Good t-mobile 3g reception here. Pulled the pins around 08:30 and headed north to Kings Langley. Passed through some lovely countryside on the way. Moored up at Kings Langley and walked up into the village to get the papers and some odds and ends. Has been another grey day today but at least it has stayed dry. Passed through 8 locks today, 2 every mile travelled. Some of the locks are leaking badly. The bottom gates on one of the locks we passed through yesterday were leaking so badly that we had to use the boat to push the top gates open as the water was flowing out through the leaks faster than it was flowing in through the top gate paddles. Current mooring Lovely countryside
